August 6: Teacher Workday
Part of my program involves something called Opening School Experience, which basically means that I have to start when the regular teachers start school (to help them prepare, etc.) and I will also spend the entire first week of school there since the first week is one of the most important weeks of the school year!
Since the school I'm assigned to be at doesn't actually start until the 17th, I've been placed at a school in Mobile until then. I wish I could spend OSE at my school with my future kindergarteners, but at this school I will be in first grade which I know will be exciting as well! Their first day is the 10th.

I wasn't really sure what I would be doing today (since it was a teacher workday), so it was hard for me to decide what to wear. I went with my classic go-to ensemble for when I can't decide what to wear: plain shirt/tanktop with pants, a cardigan, and flats. Simple and professional. Plus, you can never go wrong with nude flats because they go with LITERALLY EVERYTHING.
